Dennis Berger is an incredibly talented jazz musician who has been playing saxophone and piano for decades. In the 80s he began seriously studying jazz piano at the legendary Dick Grove’s School of Music so he could double on those instruments. He has had years of private study on saxophone, piano and flute. He’s well known for his soulful solos and masterful improvisations that have earned him Santa Barbara’s recognition as one of the top jazz musicians in the area today. In addition to being an accomplished saxophonist, as skilled pianist, Dennis often accompanies himself during live performances or recordings. His impressive range allows him to explore complex harmonic textures while still maintaining a melodic groove that makes even novice listeners want to get up and dance!
Dennis is available to play as a solo pianist or with his trio in a variety of settings including night clubs, restaurants, weddings, and corporate events. When appropriate he can switch between the piano and saxophone during the same set.
